So you're meeting with a client to plan an event, who may or may not have a theme. One of the first thing you need to know while consulting with the client are their likes and dislikes and what it is they want to achieve. It's always a good idea to have the client bring pictures of events they like or you can both look at websites to help or recommend a look/theme.
Once a theme is chosen it helps to choose the color scheme. Also bear in mind that different themes work better during certain times of year, in certain spaces, with certain colors, flowers and accessories.
Here are ten popular wedding and special occasion event themes
1.) Shabby Chic
8.) Fairy Tales
Each theme will incorporate various décor items, colors, flowers, food & drinks to achieve the overall objective.
